Reducing Electric Costs

High Conversion Efficiency Converter

For customers using thyristor or vacuum tube converters, we highly recommend switching to our transistorized models.
Vacuum tube converters have a conversion efficiency of 60%. Almost half of the electric power is lost as heat.
Our transistorized converters have an efficiency of over 95%, and the lower heat loss results in less cooling required.
For the same job, our converters consume only half the electric power of vacuum tube converters.

2 Converters in 1

For customers running 2 or more transistorized converters, combining them into 1 converter can lower power consumption.

In graph 1, the power consumed by converter A is shown in blue and converter B in red.
Operated individually, the peak power is the sum of the two, shown in green.

Graph 1 Separate Converters

Separate Converters
Consumed Power Fee 66000(kWh)×17.2(JPY/kWh) = JPY 1,135,200
Contract Power 350kW×1,733.40(JPY/kW) = JPY 606,690
Total JPY 1,741,890

Contract power is set as the peak power used over the previous year and greatly affects monthly electric costs.
Lowering the peak power is a very effective solution for reducing monthly costs.

By combining 2 converters into 1 and alternating oscillation between them, peak power is lowered, as seen in graph 2.
Also, the converters can oscillate at different frequencies when necessary and also require lower starting costs and less space.
